We all love street foods,Tawa Pulao is among them.It is very famous in Mumbai Street. I prepared it within 10 minutes. It is so tasty that it doesn't require any side dishes. It is an Indian vegetarian one bowl. It is a perfect & quick dinner recipe that stimulates our palette. Do try this recipe and relive the magic of  Mumbai Street Tawa Rice at the comfort of your home. Have a look for the ingredients of this spicy pulao.....

                                Cooking Time : 10 minutes approx.
                                Serving : 4-5 people
                                Recipe Type : One Bowl Meal

Ingredients : 1) Cooked Basmati Rice ( 250 gms.)
                      2) 2 Medium sized chopped capsicum
                      3) 4 chopped tomatoes
                      4) 1/2 chopped carrot (optional)
                      5) 1 small bowl green peas
                      6) 2 green chillies
                      7) 1 tablespoon cumin seeds
                      8) 1& 1/2 tablespoon pav bhaji masala
                      9) 1 tablespoon grated ginger
                     10) 1 teaspoon cumin powder
                     11) 1 teaspoon coriander powder
                     12) 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
                     13) 1 teaspoon turmaric powder
                     14) 1 teaspoon kashmiri mirch powder
                     15) 2 tablespoon oil
                     16) 1 tablespoon butter
                     17) 1 teaspoon sugar
                     18) Salt to taste
                     19) Some fresh coriander leaves
                     20) 1/2 lemon

Method : 
                      Step 1 : At first put oil in a heated pan and add cumin seeds, green chillies and grated ginger. After mixing it add carrots and saute for 2 minutes. Then give tomatoes, capsicum and green peas and fry it for 6-7 minutes with salt and cover the pan to soften the veggies on medium flame.
                      Step 2 : Open the lid and smash the veggies with a spoon or any type of masher for a while. Then add all the powdered spices. Add a dash of water and give rice in it. Stir the entire mixture carefully on high flame.After mixing it add some more salt, fresh coriander leaves, sugar and  squeeze the lemon. After stirring it switch off the flame with butter.
                                    Here it is ready......your spicy and tasty Mumbai Street Style Tawa Pulao. Garnish it with salad and chutney.......

Special Note : The recipe can be cooked in a pan instead of tawa. If you want to add onion, garlic and boiled potato in it during frying, it is fine......
