NAVRATRI SPECIAL CRISPY SABUDANA PAKODA / SAGO VADA WITH A SPECIAL CHUTNEY WITH VIDEO

Sabudana vada or pakora is a very popular evening snacks recipe.It is used during Navratri vrat or any festivals.Making this vada is very easy and simple.It is tasty and crispy like other spicy pakoras.I served it with a special chutney.Do try it at home and give me good feedback.So lets learn how to prepare this special recipe....

Ingredients :
                      1. 1 cup soaked sabudana (6-7 hrs)
                      2. 3 boiled  & smashed potatoes
                      3. some roasted peanuts
                     4. 3-4 chopped green chillies
                     5. 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds (saunf)
                     6. 1 teaspoon roasted cumin seeds
                     7. 1 pinch of asafoetida (hing)(optional)
                     8. 1 teaspoon coriander powder
                     9. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
                    10. 1 tablespoon lemon juice
                    11. 1 tablespoon grated ginger
                    12. salt to taste


Method :
                Step 1 : Grind the roasted peanuts in a mixture grinder.Take a bowl and mix all the ingredients into soaked sabudana.Mix it well,take a small portion of the mixture and shape it like patti.

              Step 2 :  Take a kadai and heat oil to fry.When the oil heats up fry the sabudana patties and fry them golden brown from both sides.Take them out and place them on a tissue paper.Here our hot and crispy tasty sago vada ready serve it with a special chutney....

Chutney : The homemade special chutney is a mixture of  3 tablespoon curd,coriander leaves,some chillis,lemon juice,black salt,some roasted cumin powder.

(Important Notes : You can bake the patties instead of deep frying...If you use the recipe for navratri vrat,use sana salt instead of normal salt...)
