CRISPY POHA CUTLET / PAKODA / FLATTENED RICE CUTLET RECIPE / LOW OIL BREAKFAST AND EVENING SNACKS RECIPE
Crispy Poha Cutlet or Pakoda or beaten rice can be perfect for our breakfast or evening snack.It is easy to prepare and is amazingly crispy.It is a traditional Indian snack.The snack can be baked,shallow fried or deep fried to match one's desire.I did it shallow fry.Do try it & give me good feedback. Ingredients :
1. 250 gm poha / beaten rice
2. 3 medium boiled & smashed potatoes
3. some coriander leaves
4. 4-5 chopped green chillies
5. 1 tablespoon grated ginger
6. 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala powder
7. 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
8. 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
9. some raw peanuts
15. 1 tablespoon corn flour
16. oil to fry
For Batter :
14. 2 tablespoon gram flour or besan
1 5. 2 tablespoon all purpose flour
16. 1 tablespoon corn flour
Method :
Step 1 : Wash the poha in the running water and keep aside for 5 minutes.Make sure that the poha dries up.Now take a pan & heat it.Give some oil in it and when the oil becomes hot, give raw peanuts and fry it golden.Now add ginger,chillies and cumin seeds and fry them for 2 minutes.Switch off the flame.
Step 2 : Take a bowl pour the poha in it.Mix all the ingredients including 1 tablespoon cornflour.Mix it well like a dough.Now take a portion of the mixture and shape it like a cutlet & dip the patie into the batter.Immediately mix it with bread crumb and keep aside for 5 minutes.
Step 3 : Take the pan and give some oil and after heating the oil add all the patties and fry them on medium flame for 3-4 minutes or until golden brown from both sides.Now take them out from the pan and place them on the tissue paper.Here our crispy poha cutlet snacks ready.Serve it with sauce or any chutney....
