Upma is a South Indian Healthy Breakfast.It is popular throughout India.It is a one bowl meal.It has been prepared in simple and authentic south Indian Style with vegetables,very easy to cook too.Must try it....🌝

                              Preparation Time : 20 minutes.

                Ingredients:            1. 1 cup Rava

                                         2. 1/2 grated carrot
                                         3. 1 large grated Tomato
                                         4. Roasted Peanuts
                                         5. 1 Teaspoon Black Mustard seeds
                                         6. 1 Teaspoon Urad daal
                                         7. 1 Teaspoon Chana daal
                                         8. 1 Teaspoon cumin seeds
                                         9. 10-12 curry leaves
                                         10. Fresh coriander leaves
                                         11. 1 Tablespoon ginger paste
                                         12. 1/2 Lemon
                                         13. 2 green chillies
                                         14. salt to taste
                                         15. 1 Teaspoon sugar
                                         16. 1 tablespoon butter
                                         17. 2 tablespoon mustard oil
                                         18. 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
                                         19. 1 tablespoon black pepper powder

                     Step 1:- At first roast the rava or sooji in a heated pan for 4-5 minutes in medium flame and continuously stir it until it turns light golden brown. When the smell comes out take it off from the burner.
                       Step 2:- Pour oil into heat pan and add mustard seeds into hot oil to splatter. After that add cumin seeds, urad daal, chana daal and mix for a minute.Then add ginger paste, green chillies and mix it. 
                          Step 3:- Now add grated carrot, tomatoes and curry leaves and fry it for the next 4 minutes.After frying add red chilli powder, black pepper powder and mix it properly. Then add 3 cups of water( 3 times the quantity of  sooji ) in it and boil for 2 minutes and cover the pan with a lid.
                        Step 4:- After that add sooji and mix it immediately so that it does not form any lumps. Add roasted peanuts, salt & sugar to taste and mix it for 3-4 minutes in low flame.
                  Step 5:- Now add lemon juice, chopped coriander leaves and mix it for a minute. Check out the rava or sooji and switch off the gas flame by adding butter. Now cover with a lid for another 2 minutes.
                                  Thus the hot and delicious Upma is ready to be served. Garnish it with roasted peanuts and fresh coriander leaves. Enjoy your breakfast.
